Call me on the phone when you don't wanna be alone and there's nothin on TV I was talking to a tree It's a crazy afternoon and I have to see you soon All the words that you heard Hold my hand if you can It's a crazy afternoon And the place that you remember in your mind Hasn't changed with time I was learning a new language Come and take me by surprise Now I'm singing to the storm That passes through your eyes On a crazy afternoon I was howlin with the wolves In the city, in the desert, at the lake on the moon It's a crazy afternoon And the place that you remember in your mind Hasn't changed with time Changed with time Saw you in a movie And I saw you in the street It could have been a dream But I saw you on your feet It's a crazy afternoon and I have to see you soon All the words that you heard Hold my hand if you can It's a crazy afternoon And the place that you remember in your mind Hasn't changed with time It's a crazy afternoon I was howlin at the moon In the city, in the desert, Hold my hand if you can It's a crazy afternoon And the place that you remember in your mind Hasn't changed with time Hasn't it changed with time Has it changed with time? Its a crazy afternoon

Planetarium 04:16
If you test your children they will test you There's dinosaurs in Kansas haven't met you Here in the planetarium the sun explodes While in the hall stuffed animals are greeting the visitors If you threaten your child he will become fearful We weigh less on Venus Here in the planetarium the sun explodes I'm not alone in halls where animals greet the visitors Twinkle twinkle little bat, how I wonder where you're at Twinkle twinkle little bat, how I wonder where you're at
9.
Outside 04:46
it's up to you you've got to take the risk to see if it will grow if it will explode i don't wanna spend my life under artificial lights the sun is coming up beneath the willow tree let's go outside you can't depend on me for your own sanity as we grow we learn the wrong way where'd ya hear those things you say? i don't wanna spend my life under artificial light the sun is coming up beneath the willow tree let's go outside take the time to make the time to be the things you claim to be the things that you think you are often aren't like you at all i don't want to spend my life under an official reinvent the wheel reinvent the machine is your intention pure? i don't wanna spend my life under an official lie the sun is coming up around the mountain's eye let's go outside

She took her rings off, threw them in the water She took her rings and threw them in the water She took her rings, she threw them in the water She took her rings off, threw them in the water There's a fine line between being lost and free She opened up her eyes, now she could see A red plane flew beneath the moon It's up to you, it's always up to you There's a fine line between being lost and free She opened up her eyes, now she could see It's overwhelming the first time that you breathe I'm the same as you, the air is free

Fearless 05:27
You say the hill's too steep to climb Climb it. You say you'd like to see me try Climbing. You pick the place and I'll choose the time And I'll climb that hill in my own way. Just wait a while for the right day. And as I rise above the tree lines and the clouds I look down, hear the sound of the things you said today. Fearlessly the idiot faced the crowd Smiling. Merciless the magistrate turns 'round Frowning. And who's the fool who wears the crown? No doubt in your own way And every day is the right day And as you rise above the fear lines in his brow You look down, hear the sound of the faces in the crowd.

about

I used to be in a band that rocked it pretty good. We were called Stegosaurus. We had a fun, wacky time, worked hard, learned a lot, made an album with Warner Brothers at the end of the last century, and discovered how crazy the world of major labels really is. Recently I found some rawk oddities that had been lost for a while. Wanted to share them with any remaining fans out there and anyone else who might have an interest. These demos were written and recorded from about 1995-2000 on four-track cassette tapes, 1/2 inch 8 track, and 2 inch reel to reel, analog goodness. Some of the tracks are professionally recorded, most of them are pretty rough, done on a little 4-track in a small stone house in Montecito, California without much care for flawlessness.

It's been a real trip to come across these songs again. Some of them are very weird, others playful. I didn't realize there was a whole lost Stegosaurus album buried in the rubble of my closet, but here it is, excavated and polished up a bit. Hope you enjoy it.
