about

Written and recorded on 4-track cassette 1996 or 1997 in a small stone house in Montecito, CA. This song is about a trip to the New York natural history museum and all the strange things and people there..

lyrics

If you test your children they will test you
There's dinosaurs in Kansas haven't met you

Here in the planetarium the sun explodes
While in the hall stuffed animals are greeting the visitors

If you threaten your child he will become fearful
We weigh less on Venus

Here in the planetarium the sun explodes
I'm not alone in halls where animals greet the visitors

Twinkle twinkle little bat, how I wonder where you're at
Twinkle twinkle little bat, how I wonder where you're at

credits

from Lost Stegosaurus Demos, released January 27, 2012
My mom Alita Rhodes played cello on this one.
I think Randy Guss played drums on the first half, and I played the second half. This was during a short but glorious time when Randy was the Stego drummer in his off time from Toad the Wet Sprocket.
